While I do not always try to literally depict cities and neighbourhoods, I often aim to capture the bustling motion and excitement of a busy urban environment. I like using colours and patterns found in the architectural vernacular of a city and try to capture its essence as seen from above.

"The materials and tools of knitting are beautiful. Colors, dyes, textures of the yarns, the feel of bamboo or wooden needles speaks to me. Skeins of yarn have their own rhythms. Balls of yarn become their own planets of overlapping threads. Making drawings of this material honors the process that we have learned."
